Mid-June to November

Hummer tours depart from the Lava Lands Visitors Center on Highway 97, between Bend and Sunriver.  Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.

 

Parking is available at the Lava Lands Visitor Center where you will meet your guide.  All vehicles parked at the Visitor Center are required to pay the $5.00 Forest Pass fee at the gate.  This fee will allow you entrance to the Lava River Cave, so plan ahead and make it a day of exploration!

Our custom built H1 hummer can seat up to 14 passengers, although we do not book more than 10 adults on each tour.  Children as young as 4-years old are welcome.  We do not have car-seats, so please bring yours, depending on the age of your child. 

Don't forget to bring your camera and your sense of adventure!  Deer, elk, coyotes and other animals call this area home. 

We will make a short stop at the Lava Lands Visitor Center before heading out on the trail.  NOTE:  This stop will be the only bathroom available for the remainder of the tour.

Lava Lands Adventure Tours follows the "TREAD LIGHTLY" program for off-roading.  We travel on established, although sometimes infrequently used trails.  We pack out our trash, and any that we find on the trail that has been left by others.  When wildlife is encountered, we observe but don't disturb.  We want to keep our trails open for visitors to experience the beauty of our area.

* Minimum age of any participant is 4 years old.
* All minors will need to have a parent or legal guardian to sign a participant agreement.
* Women who are pregnant and anyone with heart, neck or back problems are not encouraged to
   participate.

Make sure to bring your camera and a sense of adventure.  You will want closed-toed shoes for short stops and exploration in the lava areas.   Clients should also be prepared for the ever changing Central Oregon weather conditions.  We suggest that you dress in layers.  Mornings and evenings can be very cool and afternoons can warm up quickly. 

Rain or shine, we are on the road.  If it should rain, we can zip up the windows and keep you dry.

All tours include water and snacks.

In order to confirm a reservation, we take a full price deposit. If you cancel or change the reservation 48 hours prior to the trip date, the deposit will be refunded. For any cancellation or change to the reservation (in any way) within 48 hours of the trip date, 50% of the deposit will be forfeited.

If for any reason Lava Lands Adventure Tours cancels a trip, a full refund will be given.  This happens only on rare occasions and should not be expected.

Please Note:  All tours require a minimum of 4 (four) people.  A 4% non-refundable booking fee will be charged for all reservations. 

Groups of 6 or more will be charged an 18% gratuity.  Otherwise, gratuity is not included in the price, never expected, but always appreciated by your guide.
